You’ve heard that astonishingly expressive voice. It's one of the most recognized today in R&B, rock, pop, soul and jazz.
Eleven-time Grammy winner Tony Lindsay gets around, having performed and recorded with this era’s top artists, such as Tevin Campbell, O'Jays, Al Jarreau, Steve Winwood, Johnny Gill, Teddy Pendergrass, Aretha Franklin, and Lou Rawls.
Maybe you’ve heard his vocals on commercials for Mazda, Hotwheels, Dreyer's Ice Cream and Wendy's, as the voice of Tackle Bear on Adventures With Kanga Roddy, or while he inspired the aspiring hoofers with the Dancing with the Stars Road Tour.
Tony’s full-bodied tenor and unique style have opened the doors to one extraordinary musical project after another – including a 1993 duet performance with Angela Bofill and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra at Avery Fischer Hall in New York, performing the Narada Michael Walden song, Enough for Everyone.
And not least, he’s the voice of one best known bands of our era, SANTANA, having performed and recorded with Carlos Santana and crew since 1991.
Also a talented songwriter, Tony performs with Spang-a-Lang, a Bay Area R&B/Jazz/Pop group he founded that has opened for several well-known acts, including Curtis Mayfield, Jr. Walker, Tower of Power, and Average White Band, to name a few.
And if that’s not enough, he’s been a featured performer at the Baseball World Series and the Super-Bowl!
Born in Kingston, New York, Tony calls San Francisco his home.
