“[Simon Lynge’s] “The Future” is one of the most memorable and melodic debut albums of recent years” – Rolling Stone

With his soaring voice, versatile guitar and piano chops, and swoonable folk/pop/rock song craft, Simon Lynge has won over audiences throughout the western hemisphere.
His debut album, “The Future” received accolades from Rolling Stone, BBC, London Sunday Times, Cashbox Magazine and dozens of music trade media, which led to a recent 15-stop tour of Europe and the U.S. as the opening act for country/Americana megastar EmmyLou Harris.
Simon’s newest release, “The Map of Your Life,” debuted at #1 on iTunes Denmark and spent a week there. The album has received rave reviews in the national press. “Drum Beat,” a single from the album, was among the Top 5 most played songs on Danish Radio in summer 2016.
Despite being raised half in Greenland, half in Denmark, Lynge’s ear for music was drawn to American and British influences, such as Elliot Smith, Nick Drake, Otis Redding, The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, and many others. He often pays tribute to these mentors with fresh renditions of their hits that rise to the remarkable.
But Simon’s own brand of musical medicine is equally remarkable. With uplifting themes and catching melodies, Simon sums up his perspective in the opening lines of his first foray: “I have traveled to the future...and I liked what I saw.” It is not possible to come away from a Simon Lynge concert without the feeling that life is good, love is powerful, family is a treasure, we can do better, and things will be alright.
Simon was recently appointed ambassador for Greenland’s National Advocacy for Children’s Rights, which works with the UN Convention on the Right of the Child. He wrote a song for their new campaign video in Greenland.
