“To hear Halie Loren sing is to glimpse the divine… there is so much to love about Loren’s talent” –Seattle Weekly
“…Loren's clear-as-a-bell lilt and tease is half "drifting off to sleep" lullaby and half "stay up till sunrise" striptease…” –A five-star review from All About Jazz
PITOIP is proud to present the host of our show, Halie Loren.
A road-proven, critically-acclaimed artist, Halie’s vocal and songwriting talents have earned a global fan base. A veteran of both stage and recording studio, Halie’s eighth album “Butterfly Blue” (2015) debuted at #1 on the Billboard Jazz Chart in Japan – the third time she’s gained that distinction. Her 2011 album “Heart First” was among the top 10 jazz CDs in Hot New Releases at Amazon in the U.S. and Canada, and reached No. 1 on the iTunes Canada jazz albums chart. Her newest album "From the Wild Sky" is now in release.
Halie has toured the myriad music clubs along the world’s highways and byways, but demand for her talents has also extended to concert halls for performances with the Jazz Orchestra of Sicily, the Corvallis-OSU Symphony Orchestra in Oregon, and the Monroe Symphony in Louisiana. For the past three years she has traveled with her band throughout the U.S., Canada, Japan, Italy, China, Hong Kong, and South Korea.
A native Alaskan, Halie now makes her home in Eugene, Oregon with her husband and musical partner, Daniel.
